Creating Service Alerts

Use this article to learn how to create and manage service alerts from the dashboard.

You can create service alerts directly from the Titan GPS Dashboard.

Note: You can only create a service alert for one asset at a time.

How to create a service alert

  1. Select Alerts from the application bar.

  2. Click Service Alerts.

  3. Find an asset and select the Create button.

  4. Enter an Alert Name.

  5. Choose either a one-time or an interval alert.

  6. Choose the alert criteria. You can choose any or all:

    1. Odometer

    2. Engine Hours

    3. Calendar

      Note: The alert will be triggered when the first of any of these selected conditions is met.

  7. Set up the First Occurrence and the next ( "Then Every" ) occurrence for the criteria you have selected.

  8. Enter the email addresses and/or SMS details for the alert to notify.

  9. Click Save.


How to manage or export service alerts

  1. To Edit or Delete a service alert, navigate to an asset.

  2. Tap the arrow icon to expand the service alert options.

  3. Select Edit.

    or Delete.


How to configure a service alert

  1. Select Service Config.

  2. Set up the Upcoming Threshold Settings for your fleet.

    Note: When a service event is within the upcoming threshold values, the service alert will transition to the upcoming service status.


How to renew a service alert

  1. Select Renew.

  2. In Renew Service, you can:

    1. Complete the Date of Service

    2. Ensure the Odometer and/or Engine Hours are correct

    3. Review and correct the Next Occurrence values, if needed

    4. Enter an Invoice or PO #

    5. Enter the Cost

    6. Who it was Serviced By

    7. Enter in Notes

  3. Select Renew Service to save the changes.

    Note: the Status: Service and Maintenance report and the Status: Service and Maintenance by Alert Type report can be used to monitor service alerts and their statuses. Check out the Report Subscription article to learn more.
