Editing an Asset

Use this article to learn how to edit an asset from the Dashboard.

You can edit an asset directly from the Titan GPS Dashboard.

Note: You can only edit one asset at a time.

How to edit an asset

  1. Select an Asset.

  2. Hover over the list icon in Asset Information.

  3. Click on Edit Asset.

    1. In Basic Settings, you can:

      1. Change the asset's name.

      2. Assign a driver.

      3. Set the time zone that the asset belongs in.

      4. Set the region the device belongs to.

      5. Assign the asset to a group.

      6. Choose an icon to represent your asset.

    2. In Asset Details, you can add:

      1. Vehicle details such as: asset/vehicle type, make, model and year.

      2. Registration information such as license plate, VIN, vehicle weight, carrier and registration expiry.

      3. Driver information such as Driver Name and Foreman.

    3. In General Settings, you can set the:

      1. Speed Units

      2. Temperature Units

      3. Distance Units

      4. Web Geofence Radius

      5. Odometer Type

      6. Odometer ECU Offset

      7. Hour Meter Type

      8. Current Engine Time

    4. In IO ports you can set important input information and customize input labels.

    5. In Dynamic Events, you can configure:

      1. No data (device offline) events

      2. No GPS events

      3. Excessive Invalid GPS Events

      4. Notify on First Powerup

    6. In Fuel, you can set:

      1. Fuel Type

      2. Engine Size

      3. Idling Fuel Consumption Rate

      4. Set whether the Fuel Efficiency Rate is from ECU or is User Defined

    7. In HOS Settings, you can set the Ignition Status Type to either RPM or BT Ignition.

      Note: We recommend speaking to a Titan GPS expert before making this change. This should only be changed if the ignition status is not being recorded as expected in the Titan GPS FieldDocs application for your unit.

    8. In Procurement, you can set:

      1. Hours at Procurement

      2. Odometer at Procurement

      3. Ownership Status

      4. Purchased From

      5. Purchase Date

      6. Leased By

      7. Lease Start Date

      8. Lease End Date

      9. Rental Return Date

      10. Monthly Rental Rate

      11. Insurance Value

      12. PO Number

    9. In Service & Maintenance, you can set the:

      1. CVIP Inspection Date

      2. CVIP Expiry Date

      3. Structural Inspection Certificate Expiry Date

  4. Click Save.
