This FAQ provides an overview of the WBD for Spreader integration, including its purpose, supported controllers, installation guidance, and how it differs from the legacy TTMEBRIDGE.

WBD Spreader Frequently Asked Questions

Question

Answer

What problem does the WBD integration solve for?

For fleets operating large industrial trucks equipped with spreaders and snow plow systems, the WBD enables tracking of valuable operational data such as plow state (e.g., Up/Down), material type (e.g., Salt, 50/50 mix), and more. The WBD acts as a data relay between the spreader/snow plow system and the GPS device (TT6000).

As an existing customer previously using the TTMEBRIDGE, why do I need the WBD, and what is the difference between the two?

The original TTME manufacturer is no longer in business. Titan developed the WBD as a purpose-built replacement to address several limitations of the TTME.

  • The TTME was not designed for commercial vehicle environments, increasing susceptibility to dirt and water damage. It was limited to 5V TTL logic, restricting supported capabilities and future expansion.

  • It did not handle repeated power loss well, leading to firmware and configuration issues.

  • The WBD is designed for commercial use, supports 12V RS232 logic, and includes a battery capacitor to mitigate power-loss-related issues.

How is the WBD installed with the TT6000?

What controllers are supported with the WBD?

As of January 2026, the WBD supports the following controllers: Rexroth, Cirrus, Accucast, XDS, Dickey-John, and Parker.

Does the WBD support over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates?

No. Firmware updates are completed before shipping or can be performed via a serial connection.

How do I update the firmware on my WBD?

To update the WBD Firmware, users will have the ability to do so directly via serial connection of the WBD and local computer/laptop, using the WBD Updater App.

  1. Connect a CBL-0065A-V1 to the WBD

  2. Connect a USB-to-Serial to the UART0 RS232 serial port on the CBL-0065A-V1

  3. Connect power to the 6pin black and red port on CBL-0065A-V1 (+12V)

Once all connections are made, open the support application on the connected computer or laptop and navigate to the Firmware Tab. Browse for the latest Firmware CSV file and initiate the update process.

If necessary, coordinate with Titan support to ensure you have the latest firmware file on hand.

What is the warranty for the WBD?

The WBD hardware and related cables are covered by a one-year warranty from the ship date.
