This article outlines the steps to troubleshoot a WBD that has stopped reporting or is reporting inaccurate spreader data.
Step 1: Verify TT6000 (XT63) Installation
Begin by confirming that the TT6000 is operating correctly.
Verify that the TT6000 status lights are on.
If not, check the power, ground, and cable connections.
Confirm that the TT6000 is reporting data to the Titan Portal.
Step 2: Verify WBD Installation
Verify Physical Connections
Ensure the fully populated connector on the CBL-0065A-V1 is connected to the WBD.
Confirm the 6-pin and 8-pin two-wire connectors on the CBL-0065A-V1 are connected to the corresponding 6-pin and 8-pin connectors on CBL-0040-V3.
The WBD should be powered whenever the TT6000 is powered and awake.
If power is not present with the vehicle ignition off, test again with the ignition on.
Step 3: Verify Hardwired Plow Inputs (If Applicable)
Note: If plow inputs are received through the controller via data, this step can be skipped.
If using hardwired pressure or proximity sensors:
The WBD should be connected to hardwired plows using the GROUND INPUTS on the TT6000.
Recommended Hardwired Connections
TT6000 Input 1 – CBL-0040-V3 Yellow/Black – Front Plow
TT6000 Input 2 – CBL-0040-V3 Yellow/Brown – Right Plow
TT6000 Input 3 – CBL-0040-V3 Yellow/Green – Left Plow
TT6000 Input 4 – CBL-0040-V3 Yellow/Red – Belly Plow
Step 4: Verify Spreader Controller Connections
Check Physical Connections
Confirm CBL-0065B-V1 is connected to the WBD.
Confirm the serial extension cable is connected between CBL-0065B-V1 and the spreader controller.
Note: We recommend keeping all connections off the ground, as corrosion or rust can cause communication issues.
If no data is present, try installing an RS232 null modem in-line with the serial connection.
Verify the spreader controller is configured to output data.
Note: Some controllers require a specific setting to be enabled (e.g., AVL on Rexroth CS Series controllers).
Note: For newer Rexroth controllers (CS600+), the option is named IoT instead of AVL.
Connect a PC with a terminal application to confirm whether data is being transmitted.
If data is still not present, contact the spreader controller manufacturer to verify proper data output.
Contact Support
If data issues persist or remain inaccurate after completing the steps above, contact Titan GPS Support for further assistance.
