How to Create an API Key in Titan GPS

This article contains instructions on creating an API Key for integrations from within the Titan GPS platform.

Follow these steps to generate and configure an API key for use with the Titan GPS platform.

Step 1: Open API Key Settings

Click your username in the top-right corner of the screen. Select API Keys from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Create a New Key

In the API Key Settings window, click Create a new API key in the top-right corner.

Step 3: Fill in the Details

Complete the following fields:

• Enter a Reason (a name or label for the key, e.g., “Highway Sample”)

• Ensure the Status toggle is set to On

• The Access Key and Token fields will be generated automatically after saving

Step 4: Enable API Services

A list of available API services will appear. Toggle Enable for each service you want to activate. Available services include:

• AEMP Telematics Data Standard (v1.1)

• Current Locations / Current Locations V2

• Highway – Freight Services

• Landmarks

• Locations / Locations V2

Step 5: Save

Click Save. A green confirmation banner will appear: “The API key saved successfully.”

Step 6: Copy Your Credentials

Back in the API Key Settings list, your new key will appear with its Access Key and Token. Copy these – you will need them to authenticate API requests.

Editing an Existing Key

Click edit next to any key in the API Key Settings list to update its name, status, or enabled services.

💡 Tip: API Developer Documentation is linked at the bottom of the API Key Settings window.
